Who we are
Our company, which was incorporated in 2019, is a sustainable energy firm that specializes in solar and wind energy conversion and is made up of skilled and experienced individuals. We are exploiting an existing network of energy generators in the Nigerian sector to bring an innovative solar wind hybrid system to the Nigerian renewable energy market and Sub-Saharan Africa at large. Our goal is to increase the availability of micro wind energy technologies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our passion and professionalism have earned us the trust of Africa’s most prestigious Energy firms.

Our Solar Wind Hybrid solution has transformed a final-year students’ classroom at Bayero University Kano into a beacon of inspiration and progress.
Behind this innovative feat lies meticulous planning and data-driven precision. Our project team meticulously analyzed ten years of wind data to optimize the placement of the wind turbine, harnessing the natural forces of the environment to maximize energy production. This synergy of technology and nature exemplifies our dedication to creating solutions that are not only groundbreaking but also harmonious with our planet.

Board Members
Alhassan Ahmadu Dantata, born 16th May 1957, is the grandson of Alhassan Dantata (1877 – 17 August 1956) the most prominent businessman in West Africa in his time. His source of great wealth came from the trade in commodities with the United Africa Company and later the Royal Niger Company. He dealt not only in groundnuts and kola nuts (the original ingredient for Coca-Cola) but also in cattle, cloths, beads, precious stones, grains, rope, and other things.
Alhassan Dantata died in 1956 and the shares in the business were subsequently distributed to the family. In 1958 Ahmadu Dantata became the Managing Director of Alhassan Dantata & Sons, with his brother Aminu, as the Deputy Managing Director. When Ahmadu died in 1960, Aminu Dantata became the head of the business.
Alhassan Ahmadu Dantata the son of Ahmadu Dantata, was then brought up by his uncle Aminu Dantata. He started business in May 1978 in Lagos with his cousin Usman Dantata & his nephew Aliko Dangote.
He is on the board of numerous companies in various capacities through his investment portfolio management company, Crescent House Limited, which is also the parent company of SIDIL GROUP. He is married with three children
Nurudeen Issa is a dynamic and passionate energy leader, climate activist, and Founder of Sirius-X Energy, a groundbreaking clean energy startup based in Nigeria. With a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and a specialization in Energy from Bayero University Kano, Nurudeen possesses a profound understanding of energy systems and a relentless drive to bring about positive change.
Driven by his vision to revolutionize access to clean energy technologies in Sub-Saharan Africa, Nurudeen established Sirius-X Energy. His relentless pursuit of a just and equitable energy transition has positioned him as a key influencer in the field.
Nurudeen’s expertise in energy innovation and climate-related activities has earned him prestigious accolades. Sirius-X Energy was honored with the Best Climate Mitigation Startup award by the Global Cleantech Innovation Program in collaboration with UNIDO. Additionally, Nurudeen led his team to secure the third-place position for the best clean energy business idea in Africa, recognized by the African Fellowship for Young Energy Leaders.
As a British Petroleum (BP) Net Zero Scholar, Nurudeen represented BP as their delegate in the impactful One Young World Summit. Addressing thousands of young individuals worldwide, he showcased his work and its role in advancing the global energy transition.
Henry Lamba is an exceptional mechanical engineer hailing from Northern Nigeria. With unwavering dedication, he has become a driving force in the fields of clean energy, sustainable development, and water research. As the Director and CTO of Sirius X Energy, Henry’s innovative mindset has led him to remarkable achievements in the realm of renewable energy. His expertise extends to designing and installing solar power systems, prototyping hybrid solar-wind turbine generators, and spearheading the construction of sustainable infrastructure.
Henry’s leadership shines through his roles as Engineering Director for The Energy Club and the Founder and CEO of Schrödinger Technologie Ltd where he use renewable Energy to provide clean and affordable drinking water facilities to households and individuals facing the global water crisis in subsaharan Africa. He inspires and empowers fellow children and youth With a thirst for knowledge of innovation and nation building, he continually expands his horizons through certifications and conference attendance. Fluent in multiple languages and skilled in diverse areas such as welding, fabrication, and innovation.

Balogun Sofiyullahi serves as Director and Legal Advisor at Sirius-X Energy. He provides strategic guidance on legal and regulatory matters supporting Sirius-X Energy’s growth in Nigeria’s dynamic clean energy sector.
With vast experience, Balogun offers expert advice on energy regulations, project development, financing, transactions, compliance and risk management. His background encompasses corporate law, litigation, and business consulting for energy, real estate and technology sectors among others.
As passionate about Africa’s renewable space, Balogun actively engages policymakers on reforms that enable sustainable energy expansion across the continent. He frequently publishes articles on pertinent topics surrounding law, business and technology in African markets.
A legal practitioner, Balogun holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with honours from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He belongs to several professional bodies in Nigeria and beyond.
Leveraging his robust legal expertise and strategic perspective, Balogun helps steer Sirius-X Energy’s growth strategy in Africa’s evolving renewables industry. His commercial acumen also proves invaluable in securing key partnerships and investor relationships.

He has handled complex transactions, disputes and negotiations in energy, technology, real estate and other sectors.
